Book Movie Club

Valby Bibliotek is glad to host this new variation of the reading group concept.

A hyggeligt and silly club where we read a book at home, then we meet to watch its movie adaptation and chat about it together. The perfect club if you’re looking for motivation to read more or want to explore different books and genres.

We mainly converse in English, but the group is international and multilingual. Everyone is welcome!

We hangout every last Wednesday of the month, alternating between Valby Bibliotek, focusing on older titles, and Valby Kino, for new releases.

The program for 2026:
- June 24th: God of Carnage / Carnage (Comedy/Drama), at Valby Bibliotek
- July 29th: The Odyssey (Action/Fantasy), at Valby Kino
- August 26th: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? / Blade Runner (Sci-fi/Action), at Valby Bibliotek
- September 30th: Project Hail Mary (Sci-fi/Adventure), at Valby Kino
- October 28th: Remarkably Bright Creatures (Mystery/Drama), at Valby Bibliotek
- November 25th: Verity (Psychological thriller), at Valby Kino
- December 30th: The Princess Bride (Fantasy/Romance), at Valby Bibliotek
